Coming by car

The town can be reached via the A35 and then the M35 from Mulhouse and Basel, the A4 from Paris and Metz and the N83.

Make sure to check the specific traffic regulations for vehicles in Strasbourg and equip your vehicle with the mandatory Crit'Air sticker by ordering it on the government website.

More than 15,000 parking spaces in city parking lots connected to the tram are available every day of the week, including: 

  • Hochschule Läger, Dock 1, Starlette when coming from the east and from Germany;
  • P+R Hœnheim Station, P+R Espace européen de l’entreprise, P+R Rives de l’Aar; Exhibition Center, coming from the north;
  • P+R Ducs d’Alsace, P+R Wolfisheim Henri Rendu; P+R Parc des Romains, P+R Rotonde, and Historic Center when coming from the west;
  • Park-and-Ride Baggersee, Park-and-Ride Elsau, Park-and-Ride Kibitzenau, Rivétoiles when coming from the south.

To make it easier for you to get to the Strasbourg Christmas Market, you will be able to park your car from November 26 through December 24, 2025, at:

  • Zénith Park-and-Ride for €4.20, which includes parking and shuttle access to the Christmas market for all passengers in your car when coming from west of Strasbourg and from Paris via Saverne (N4) on Saturdays and Sundays only. The shuttle drop-off point is at the “Hôtel d’Alsace - Petite France” stop ." To reach the markets, head toward the Ponts Couverts - Barrage Vauban, a 2-minute walk away. You will arrive in the heart of Petite France, where the Christmas Market of the Irréductibles Petits Producteurs d'Alsace and the Advent Village will welcome you.
  • Vendenheim TER Station Parking: Coming from Paris or Metz via the A4 highway, you can park at the Vendenheim TER station on Rue de la Rampe and reach Strasbourg by train in about ten minutes.
