Standing at the heart of the square, the Great Christmas Tree is one of the symbols of Strasbourg, the Capital of Christmas. Each year, the public follows its journey from the Vosges forests to Strasbourg. Felling, transport, installation in the square, decoration—every step is closely watched and, from October onward, signals the imminent arrival of the long‑awaited annual event. At its foot, a fairy‑tale setting invites visitors to immerse themselves in a jewel‑box backdrop, just long enough for a daydream or a lovely photo.
