Strasbourg is not known as the Christmas Capital for nothing: as the festive season approaches, the whole city embraces the tradition of sharing.

Whilst the buzz of the historic centre remains undiminished, the city’s neighbourhoods are also playing their part in the event, in a spirit of cohesion, solidarity, inclusion and sustainable development. Organised by local authorities and community groups, a host of free events bring the neighbourhoods to life and make Strasbourg: Christmas Capital an event for all the people of Strasbourg. This ambition is in line with the wishes expressed by the citizens’ jury.
Christmas huts and activities in the neighbourhoods
Whether for an afternoon, a day or a whole weekend, neighbourhood life takes on a Christmassy atmosphere. On the programme: activities for children and families, creative workshops, Christmas tree decorating, toy collections, refreshment stands and food stalls, charity sales, shows and concerts, organised in collaboration with local associations and partners.
