Historic Christmas Market

Chrìstkìndelsmärik is the name given in the Alsatian dialect to the historic Christmas market on Place Broglie. Established in 1570, it is one of the oldest in Europe and was for a long time the only one in France. After being held at various locations throughout the city (the Cathedral square, Place du Château, Place Kléber, etc.), this must-see event moved to Place Broglie in 1871.
